BHETA’s latest Meet the Buyer Day initiative with homewares and garden retailer Robert Dyas has sold out, the association reports.
Forty BHETA members have signed up for the exclusive opportunity, giving rise to 160 appointments with buyers from the chain. The event follows on from the success of the earlier Homebase initiative, which is now seeing initial interest come to listings fruition.
The Robert Dyas Meet the Buyer Day will be held on March 29 next to the retailer’s head office in Leatherhead, Surrey.
“Robert Dyas has laid down some strict criteria which BHETA attendees must meet, including a stipulation that any product presented must be new,” explained BHETA housewares director Will Jones. “This is all to the good, however, as it demonstrates this well recognised high street retailer’s serious intent and eliminates any possibility of time-wasting either by Robert Dyas buyers or prospective Robert Dyas suppliers.
“The event looks set to be progressive and exciting, with plenty of very real potential for BHETA members attending.”
Robert Dyas has 98 stores throughout the UK and a strong internet site.
