See celebrity chef Jeremy Pang at Spring Fair on Housewares Innovation Awards stand

Chef Jeremy Pang will be demonstrating his new product range on The Housewares Innovation Awards 2017 stand at next year’s Spring Fair.

The founder of School of Wok in London, which is Europe’s only award-winning Asian and Oriental cookery school, has collaborated with housewares distributor Dexam to create a range of woks, accessories and kitchen textiles.

Following a year of testing and designing, ‘School of Wok by Dexam’ aims to combine the School’s ethos of making cooking Asian cuisine at home easy, exciting and fun, with Dexam’s experience and know-how.

The range includes multiple woks, designed and manufactured to an authentic Asian specification, in a variety of sizes. They are accompanied by utensils such as a spatula and ladle, purposefully designed to match the angle of the woks for efficient cooking. There is also a ‘skinny wok’ for health-conscious consumers. It features a textured wok base that allows less oil to be used during cooking without compromising the taste or quality of the final dish.

Jeremy said: “We wanted to give people the right tools to make learning how to cook at home fun and exciting, rather than intimidating and overwhelming. It’s what School of Wok is passionate about, and there’s nothing we all love more than sitting down to a good meal shared with friends and family.”

The Housewares Innovation Awards 2017 stand is located opposite VIP buyers’ lounge The Seasons Club. It will offer exhibitors a live forum for their products to be put through their paces. Kitchen equipment supplied by Magimix will enable kitchenware expert and demonstrator Malcolm Harradine – and the celebrities joining him – to showcase a selection of products.

The Housewares Innovation Awards 2017 cover the housewares industry’s best products, retailers and individuals. They are organised by Housewares Magazine and its digital partner www.HousewaresLive.net, working in partnership with Spring Fair. The awards ceremony takes place on the evening of Monday February 6 – during the NEC’s Spring Fair – at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

If you would like to book a product demonstration slot on our stand, call event manager Laurie Marrington on 07903 712 102 or email her at lmarrington@datateam.co.uk.

You will get a 20 minute slot each day of the show, from Sunday February 5 to Thursday February 9. You can opt to perform the demonstration yourself or allow Malcolm Harradine do so. Throughout the week Malcolm will be using the products constantly while cooking. When the products are not in use, they will be displayed on the stand shelves. The package cost is £400 +VAT.
