What have Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and T&G’s Street Party tea cosy got in common?
The answer is that they all appear in the trailer for the new series of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent show, which starts this Saturday. Cowell – the infamous leader of the judging panel – is seen having a cup of tea alongside an elegant tray, on which sits a teapot complete with T&G cosy. The product’s patriotic colours and Union Jack motif tie in perfectly with the British theme running through the trailer, which ends with the judges having an audience with “the Queen”.

T&G is hoping the Street Party range will also be centre stage in cookshop windows in the run-up to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The company is launching a window display competition next month, with winners announced on May 30.
