Matt Balm, Sales Director at Smeg UK, has joined the British Home Enhancement Trade Association’s (BHETA) Sales and Export Activity (SEA) Committee.
The committee focuses on opportunities, challenges and legislative issues affecting the small domestic electricals market, with Mr Balm’s appointment further strengthening its representation from senior commercial leaders across the electricals and housewares sector.
Mr Balm brings extensive experience in the electrical and housewares industry, with a strong track record of driving commercial growth and developing retailer relationships. BHETA said his practical retail expertise and results-driven approach will add valuable insight to committee discussions while supporting greater collaboration across the industry.
The SEA Committee represents member interests by sharing market insight and addressing key challenges and opportunities relating to sales and export activity. It also promotes best practice, operational efficiency and sustainable growth across the home enhancement and electrical sectors.
Commenting on the appointment, Steve Richardson, General Manager of BHETA, said: “Matt’s experience on the commercial and retail side is exactly the kind of insight that keeps the SEA Committee grounded in what’s really happening in the market. I’m very pleased to welcome him and look forward to the contribution he’ll make.”
