Steamer Trading Cookshop identifies housewares used in episode one of Bake Off

Specialist retailer Steamer Trading Cookshop has posted a blog on its website of housewares like those used in the first episode of The Great British Bake Off, which aired last Tuesday (August 29) on Channel 4.

The blog said: “If you find your eye wandering from the baking drama, you may be noticing the wonderful array of kitchenware on display in the tent. If you’re wondering what kit they are using, then wonder no more. We can help with a handy reference list of how to kit your kitchen out just like ‘The Great British Bake Off’.”

Steamer Trading added: “We will be watching along with you and updating this list as the season progresses, with all the ‘must-have’ pieces.”

The list includes:

* KitchenAid Stand Mixer: “Or as some call it ‘the mixer from The Great British Bake Off’! It wouldn’t look like Bake Off without these beauties, available in a range of colours to suit any kitchen colour scheme – although they feature Boysenberry, Ice Blue and Green Apple on the show.”

* Bakeware: “A wide array of brands were on display, including Silverwood pans in the Mini Rolls challenge and the Nordicware Kugelhopf [Bundt pan] as well as numerous loaf pans.”

* Magimix Processor: “Mix, chop, beat and whisk in this kitchen workhorse. We haven’t seen it in action much yet, but its day will come!”

* Salter Digital Scales & Timers

*Zwilling JA Henckels Knife Blocks

*Joseph Joseph Chopping Boards

* Kilner Jars

* GreenPan Cookware

*Cake Lifters

*Disposable Icing Bags
