Housewares distributor Bunkerbound has signed a Classic Thunderbirds giftware distribution deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment’s consumer products division.
The firms have signed a two-year giftware contract for the Classic Thunderbirds franchise.
Bunkerbound will unveil its exclusive giftware range, which will include homeware, travel and fashion accessories, at Spring Fair International in Birmingham next February.
Aimed at adult fans of the brand, the range will be part of a collection of products celebrating the 50th anniversary of the action-adventure show, Thunderbirds are Go! in 2015.
Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s Thunderbirds franchise first aired in 1965. The British sci-fi television show, featuring the International Rescue team Thunderbirds, uses the puppet system Supermarionation.
Bunkerbound managing director Ian Williams said:”Thunderbirds is a much-loved series and we’re delighted to sign the deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment to bring some truly innovative giftware to the market in 2014″.
