Waitrose reveals top housewares seller on waitrosekitchen.com

Waitrose’s total sales excluding petrol were 2% higher than last year for the week to November 28, with online grocery sales 18% higher boosted by customer marketing promotions and seasonal offers across the grocery chain’s websites. 

Home delivery grocery slots for December 23 and December 24 are now 98% booked up as shoppers get organised?, with customers now also starting to fill up slots for the weekend before Christmas.? The supermarket expected last weekend to be the most popular time for people to put their tree up and accordingly, many customers had ordered decorations and tableware online.

The top seller on waitrosekitchen.com in the week to November 28 was the Nutribullet Pro smoothie maker, with 10% of the website’s sales coming from this product alone. Also popular were roasting tins, accounting for one in 25 purchases. Waitrose launched waitrosekitchen.com in October, offering customers a range of 3,500 housewares products from 100-plus brands.

In shops, too, customers have been getting into the festive spirit, stocking up on 83% more mulled than the week before, and 20% more sparkling wine.
