-Manufacturer of the Year (over £25m)

National Recycling Awards:

-Recycled Product of the year (Wham Upcycled)

-Social Value Initiative (Community Engagement Programme)

European Recycling Awards:

-Best Recycled Product (Wham Upcycled)

The company said: ‘These awards recognise not just our excellent manufacturing track record, but also our commitment to sustainable business practices and a greener future for everyone.

‘Companies get the reputations they deserve, and this is great news for us because it’s clear evidence that we are one of the country’s most appreciated organisations – leading the way in plastic recycling and at the same time developing a brilliant community engagement programme.

‘Our employees have good reason to be proud of their achievement. But they’ve no time to celebrate, as orders continue to come in at record levels despite lockdown.’

What More UK director Tony Grimshaw OBE commented: “This shortlisting really means a lot to us because it shows we’re on the right track. We’re looking for a sustainable future for our business and everyone involved. That means taking care of the people and the environment we rely on, and creating products that have a sustainable lifecycle.”

What More UK was established in 1999 and has grown into a global operation, exporting products to 73 countries. It produces plasticware, bakeware, cookware, gardenware, and products for the home laundry and utility room.
