Denby Pottery has joined forces with Universal Pictures to mark the cinematic release of Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. The partnership comes during a milestone year for Denby, celebrating the 35th anniversary of its signature Imperial Blue pattern.
Imperial Blue traces its roots back to Denby’s 1930s Cottage Blue collection, which was a hallmark in English country house kitchens. The deep blue tones, long associated with nobility and refinement, have evolved into a timeless pattern that balances heritage with contemporary design. Handcrafted in Derbyshire, Imperial Blue continues to exemplify the ‘buy well, buy once’ ethos, prized for durability, style, and quality.
To coincide with the film release, Denby is running a competition offering a Downton Abbey-inspired luxury two-day trip to London for two, paired with a Denby Imperial Blue Afternoon Tea Set. The promotion is being showcased across all Denby social media channels and closes on September 21.
The collaboration highlights Denby’s continued relevance in British homeware. “Imperial Blue combines history with modern living, making it a perfect match for the elegance and heritage celebrated in Downton Abbey,” said a spokesperson from Denby.
With this partnership, Denby not only celebrates its own legacy but also connects with a wider audience, demonstrating the enduring appeal of classic British craftsmanship in today’s market.
Fans of both Denby and Downton Abbey can look forward to a unique blend of tradition, design, and luxury through this special collaboration.
