Serious damage has been caused to a Dunelm store following a fire; emergency services were called to the Quedam Shopping centre in Yeovil at 5:12pm on August 25.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the fire had damaged 30% of the roof, with “all the contents of the building damaged by smoke and water”.
A spokesperson for Quedam Shopping Centre said the fire had “caused serious damage to the site” but “nobody had been harmed”.
Adjacent buildings were checked and no smoke or fire damage was detected, DSFRS said.
The Dunelm store, which sells homeware and furniture, is expected to remain closed until further notice, while the shopping centre reopened on Monday as normal.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
