Steamer Trading Cookshop raises funds for charity

The World’ Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event. The charity asks people across the UK – and sometimes further afield to hold a coffee morning, where donations on the day are made to Macmillan. In 2013 154,000 people signed up to coffee morning, raising a record £20 million for charity.

The team at Steamer Trading Cookshop’s branch on Bridge Street in Chester held a fancy dress coffee morning, with home-made treats such as marshmallows and mini apple pies and of course tea and coffee.

Steamer Trading Cookshop managing director Ben Phillips commented: “Great effort from the team in Chester – and from all of our stores who ran Macmillan coffee mornings!”

Pictured are Chester staff members Amy Wozencroft, Viv Tong and Tiffany Elliot, who recently raised more than £80 selling cakes and biscuits with their pink-themed Strawberry Tea for Breast Cancer Care.
